I’m an Indian, any Indian who finds this offensive should take a deep breath, introspect and think about the future of his overpopulated country. Population control should be among our primary objectives. Capitalism wouldn’t care about enforcing one-child policy or such stringent laws because a large population only serves the capitalist economy, as this would mean more labour force and higher competetion for essetial commodities would ensure ever-increasing costs. A socialist/communist system, on the other hand, needs a fair ratio of contributors and consumers. We can’t go on we our present ways of living. Consider the problem of private ownership of land, where will we house this population? Where do we grow resources for their consumption? (encroaching forests is not an option)
Giving women the right to birth control would work in developed nations but with our present population and its current growth-rate, we have very few options to slow down our population explosion(and they all sound harsh or authoritative).
